MIKE SMITH – DIRECTOR
Mike Smith is a seasoned landlord and entrepreneur with a decade long track record in property investment, management, and development. His career in property began in 2013 when he purchased his first property, renting out rooms to friends alongside his other business interests Branded Events, an DJ events agency who provided events to H&M, River Island, New Look and many major retailers.
Other investments followed and in 2015, Mike founded Notts Relocate Ltd, driven by the need for a more efficient and responsive property management service after experiencing dissatisfaction with the service he had received as a landlord. By selectively managing properties for other landlords, Mike built a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality, professional service. The company’s success is reflected in its long-standing relationships with clients, many of whom have remained with Notts Relocate for nearly a decade now.
Leveraging the success of Notts Relocate and his other business interests Mike expanded his personal property portfolio significantly in recent years. He established MS Block Holdings Ltd, a property development firm. In 2019, he achieved a high-profile property flip of an HMO, which garnered media attention, including coverage in the Daily Mail. In 2021, Mike completed his flagship development project—an apartment block of six two-bedroom flats. Continuing to diversify, Mike reinvested profits into the commercial property sector, acquiring light industrial units in Peterborough and Birmingham. As of 2024, his personal portfolio is valued at £1.4 million and Notts Relocate manage over £10 million of assets.
Mike is a recognized figure within the property community, having delivered keynote presentations at prominent industry events such as the EMPO Property Luncheon—where he spoke on macroeconomic trends and HMOs—and the Unity Property Investors Network, where he provided insights on systemizing HMO business operations.
MICK LOSENBY – MAINTENANCE
Mick Losenby is our in house handyman. Mick also organises maintenance and advises the Director of the best solutions. Mick has a wealth of experience spanning 30 years and, Mick used to work for William Davies Homes, a large national housebuilder. One of Micks role’s at William Davies was to train new recruits and ensure their standards were high. Mick was also was involved in snagging the projects so has excellent attention to detail. Mick has a very proactive attitude towards his work and shares the company values of tenant satisfaction.
JAMIE LAMBERT - CLEANING
Jamie Lambert has been a valued member of Notts Relocate for over four years, serving as our dedicated cleaner. She ensures that all shared houses are thoroughly cleaned and maintained on a weekly basis, consistently upholding the high standards we set for our properties. With prior experience working at Travelodge, Jamie has developed the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality work.
Jamie’s commitment to tenant satisfaction is evident in her proactive approach to ensuring that communal areas are spotless and welcoming, contributing directly to a positive living environment for our tenants. Jamie takes pride in her work, understanding that cleanliness plays a key role in tenant retention and overall satisfaction. In her spare time, Jamie is a keen Netballer.
ASHLEIGH CLARK - VIEWER
Ashleigh Clark joined the team in 2024 as our Viewer, responsible for conducting in-person property viewings. With a friendly and outgoing personality, Ashleigh has quickly adapted to the role and maintains a positive response rate from prospective tenants.
